This is to ensure we provide the correct treatment for you, and if we cannot treat you, we will refer you to the appropriate health professional. You have probably seen the coloured tape used by sports people. This is Kinesiology Tape and is used for anything from headaches, foot problems and everything in between, not just sports!
It can aid muscular facilitation or inhibition, rotator cuff injuries, knee, back, shoulder, repetitive strain injuries and much more.
There are many forms of treatment that come under the umbrella of electrotherapy, They can be used to At MSK Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic we use TENS (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) & Electro-acupuncture in order to relieve pain and stimulate healing. Electrotherapy is a method of providing pain relief without medication. It works by stimulating the nerves to either distract them from sending pain signals to the brain, or by stimulating the brain to produce natural painkillers, which are stored within the body.
Suzanne & Jayne are qualified in Pre and Post-Natal Therapy which treats the musculo-sketetal dysfunctions of pregnancy. This enables the patient to carry on treatment right through pregnancy using massage, Kinesiology taping, spinal articulation and after birth including post-natal exercise (n.b. this is not pregnancy/bump massage)
Active isolated stretching helps the body to better repair and prepare itself for exercise and general day-to-day activities. It is used by massage therapists, athletes, trainers and various other professionals.
