At MSK Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic we don't just treat those involved in sports, anyone suffering from muscular pain can benefit from an appointment with us.


Treatments are tailored to individuals as no two patients require the same treatment.  Prior to any treatment, a consultation and assessment will be carried out for your own health and safety.  This is to ensure we provide the correct treatment for you, and if we cannot treat you, we will refer you to the appropriate health professional.  After care advice and exercises may be advised to maintain or rehabilitate. 


We have a variety of techniques that can be used within treatment to enable you to get the most out of your appointment.  Techniques available within a session can include:

  • Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation ™® and Articulation
  • Kinesiology Taping

Sports Massage

Remedial & Sports massage can provide relief from aches and pains that come about through repetitive movements, or periods of inactivity, be it sport related or non sport related.

A variety of remedial massage techniques are used to assist with healing soft-tissue injuries, to improve your physical performance – and to help rid you of the symptoms of every-day stress.  Sports massage techniques help to rid your body of tight muscle, working with scar tissue and other injuries. It can reduce general fatigue, improve circulation and assists your body to produce a much better sense of well-being.

Sports Therapy

Sports Therapy uses a combination of Soft tissue techniques, electrotherapy and rehabilitation exercises.  The main aim is to prevent injury and rehabilitate patients back to optimum levels of function.  Again, this is not just aimed at Sports people, anyone can benefit from Sports Therapy.

Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture (MA) is also known as Dry Needling.  This differs from Traditional Chinese Medicine as it is only used to treat problems that manifest from the musculo-skeletal systems.  Your therapist can discuss whether this is appropriate within treatment and the benefits of this technique.

Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation ™® & Articulation

Suzanne and Jayne hold Diploma’s in Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation & Articulation.  WE ARE NOT OSTEOPATHS.

These gentle techniques are used in tandem with any of the other services we provide and your therapist will discuss whether it is beneficial for your own needs.

Kinesiology Taping

You have probably seen the coloured tape used by sports people.  This is Kinesiology Tape and is used for anything from headaches, foot problems and everything in between, not just sports!

It can aid muscular facilitation or inhibition, rotator cuff injuries, knee, back, shoulder, repetitive strain injuries and much more.



There are many forms of treatment that come under the umbrella of electrotherapy, They can be used to At MSK Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic we use TENS (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) & Electro-acupuncture in order to relieve pain and stimulate healing. Electrotherapy is a method of providing pain relief without medication. It works by stimulating the nerves to either distract them from sending pain signals to the brain, or by stimulating the brain to produce natural painkillers, which are stored within the body.

Pre & Post Natal Therapy

Suzanne & Jayne are qualified in Pre and Post-Natal Therapy which treats the musculo-sketetal dysfunctions of pregnancy.  This enables the patient to carry on treatment right through pregnancy using massage, Kinesiology taping, spinal articulation and after birth including post-natal exercise (n.b. this is not pregnancy/bump massage)

Sport Psychology

Jeffrey can help you develop and maintain the mental side of your sport, performance or exercise. Example areas include: Focus, Confidence, Positivity, Handling Pressure, Dealing with Nerves, Injury Rehabilitation, Enjoyment, Motivation, Performance Anxiety and more.

This is done through self-awareness building and the development of mental skills which you can use before, during or after training/competition or life in general.

All sessions are tailored to you, so you will learn more information during your initial session.
