Jayne Ritchie

Director & Sports Massage Therapist

Initially qualifying in Remedial & Sports Massage with Scottish Massage Schools, Jayne has gone on to do further training completing a Diploma in Medical Acupuncture and a Diploma in Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation.  Jayne had over 4 years teaching and course leadership experience, before launching MSK Therapy Training in 2015.

 

With a background in sport, working in the Health & Fitness Industry has always been a passion of Jayne's and she takes pride in working with a variety of patients, day to day in clinic, varying from international athletes to office workers. Jayne is also qualified in Pre & Post-Natal Therapy, Swedish Massage, Osteopathic Articulation, Kinesio Taping, National Sports First Aid, Onsite Massage, Soft Tissue Release & 1-1 Pilates.

 

Andrew MacLachlan

Sports Therapist

Andrew has always had a keen interest in sport leading to him qualifying in Sports Therapy from the City of Glasgow College in 2016. During his time at the college, he gained further qualifications in Trigger Point Therapy and in Therapeutic Kinesiology Taping. Andrew has a particular interest in sport rehabilitation, injury prevention, sports massage, body massage, taping and stretching techniques. He has also competed at international level in Equestrian Vaulting and represented Great Britain for 9 years, becoming Junior European Champion in 2012.

 

Sarah Johnston

Sports Massage Therapist

Sarah kicked off her career in health care as an Auxiliary Nurse, but worked in Finance & Accounting for 14 years.  Sarah has always had a passion for health and fitness and finds the human body fascinating, so in 2013 years ago, she decided to go back to her interest in Health & Fitness and studied a Diploma in Diet & Nutrition, followed by a Diploma in Food Intolerance/Allergy Testing.  As a keen runner & gym goer Sarah has had many sports massages in the past and decided to study the Level 3 Diploma & Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy with MSK Therapy Training in 2018.  This increased her fascination with Anatomy & Physiology and has made her want to learn more & more.

 

Sarah joined MSK Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic in December 2018 and has since added further training including Kinesiology Taping to her skills.  When she’s not in the clinic, she can often be found keeping fit in gym, boxing, running and lifting weights.

 

Ewan Ross

Sports Massage Therapist

Ewan joined MSK Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic in December 2018.  Ewan gained his Level 3 Sports Massage qualification in 2017.

Ewan has a specific interest in sports rehabilitation and massage. He has studied Sports Psychology and Exercise Science at Abertay University where he also gained his Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, and he has since gained further qualifications in Kinesiology taping & medical acupuncture.

 

Nikitta Buchan

Sports Massage Therapist

Nikitta did her training via our sister company MSK Therapy Training and she has a varied background working in the NHS and Health and Fitness.

Nikitta has 3 years' experience in providing support to patients in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, promoting massage therapy in the recovery of injuries. She is a keen sportswoman herself, as a level 2 fitness instructor, boxercise, swimming and cycle instructor. Hobbies include snowboarding, mountain biking and making cups of tea.

 

Adam Hobson

Sports Massage Therapist

Adam joined the MSK Team in January 2020 and is currently studying the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy.

 

 

Jeffrey Webster

Sport and Performance Psychology Consultant

Jeffrey is a full time applied sport psychology practitioner working in all sports and performing arts at all levels.  

He is a graduate of the ‘Psychology of Sport’ Master's Degree course at University of Stirling - the only Sport Psychology Masters program in Scotland to be accredited by the British Psychological Society. He gained a distinction and placed top of my year whilst doing so.  

 

He also completed a Master's Degree in Psychology form the University of Stirling, and is now in the process of progressing on to stage 2 of training to become an Accredited Sport Psychologist through the British Psychological Society.  

Jeffrey is based in Glasgow, but travels all over the country to work with teams and individuals. Here are some examples of individuals and teams he currently works with or has worked with in the past:
